Regional Coordinator - Samantha Murphy
Hello, let me briefly introduce myself. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2010, after a 15 year round trip of all the departments in our local hospital, until finally landing at the door of the Rheumatology department of the Royal Free Hospital in London. Since then I have received invaluable support from all my consultants. As you can imagine; raising awareness of Lupus is definitely at the top of my agenda!
Shortly after being diagnosed I joined Lupus UK and found their website and information very useful.
The original Kent Lupus Group ceased meeting in 2012 after many successful years chaired by Joe Rumble. In 2015 the Kent Lupus Group was revived, providing once again, a local focal point for people with Lupus, and their friends and family within the county.
The group have regular coffee and chat meetings around the county, and also various fundraising and raising awareness events. Everyone is welcome to attend and details will be posted on the events page.
If you would like more information about the group, please feel free to contact me and I hope to meet you soon.
